22LR Bench Rifle League

Open to RSC members and non-members – this is a great series for new or young shooters as well as anyone who has a 22 LR sitting around, that has not been used for a long time. This is a laid back friendly competition. The goal is to have fun and good fellowship.

Hardware

• Open to any 22 LR rifle
  • Scoped Max 12X
  • Iron Sights
• Bench rests, tripod, and/or 2 sandbags may be used.

Location

To be held at the North Pistol 25/50 yard range: Rockford Sportsman’s Club

Dates

2024 Sessions start on April 25th (Free introductory shoot)

Spring Series: May 9th, 23rd, June 13th, 27th, and July 11th

Summer Series: July 25th, August 8th, 22nd, September 12th, 26th

Format

50 Yards:

Sight-in/warm-up; Unlimited Shots; 5 minutes

Followed by 5 sets of 10 rounds/set; 3 minutes/set

25 yards:

Sight-in/warm-up; Unlimited Shots; 5 minutes

Followed by 4 sets of 10 rounds/set; 3 minutes/set

There will be no alibi shots, if you have a non-fire round, or your gun jams, you forfeit those points or you can make them up during following sets.

Scoring

All targets will be scored as per numbers on rings + bullseyes as tie breakers.

Times

Set up at 4:15PM, First shot at 5:00PM, Each match lasts approximately 45 minutes; you may shoot at the 5:00 PM, or 6:00 PM match. If there are no shooters for the 6:00 PM match by 6:10 PM, we will tear down and go home.
